The box is thin yet heavy-duty, it is made out of a polycarbonate material that resists cracking and fading from UV rays, so it will last for many years. The design allows a power cord to be plugged in with the lid closed, with the lid closed the power cord and outlet inside remain out of the weather. 

The deck box when installed creates a near-flush trip-resistant surface with convenient and safe access to power. The cover has two channels that allow one or two power cables up to 16 gauge in size to be plugged in, creating safe in-use operation in any weather situation. The cover stays open in a 90-degree position making it easy to plug and unplug your cords without the lid falling on your hands.  

Easy Installation

To install the deck box cut a 5 3/4" x 8 3/4" hole where there are no obstructions below the surface such as joists, then run power to the included waterproof junction box and connect the power cord to the junction box. There are four self-tightening screws that secure the box to the deck. 

Safe Code-Compliant Box

The deck box is NEC code compliant for wet locations, as well as the required in-use operation. The box features a textured slip-resistant finish that is only .014" thick, and the cover features a beveled edge to prevent tripping.
