Screwless Unfinished Wood Switch Plates

Custom (no screws) wall plates in unfinished wood are available in 45 electrical configurations, up to 4 gangs, and any special style you would like. We also could use your wood, so tell us what you need, and we will tell you how much wood to send us, and where to send the wood. If you don't see what you need, just ask, and we will make these at no extra charge. We supply everything necessary to make these switch plate covers fit your electrical box in the wall. For the smoothest finish for the painting of the wood switch plates, we can recommend an MDF type of wood, as many cabinet makers prefer this MFD type in the construction for the smooth painting surfaces and durability of the cabinets (this is what we have been told by many cabinet makers)

Coco-Bolo, and Hemlock wood types are not available with the supply chain in the USA, and will be back as soon as we can purchase more in the wood style we need.

Screwless wallplates are all custom handmade to order, and these do take 10-14 business days to manufacture and ship. You will receive tracking from the U.S. Postal Service at www.usps.com. Wood thickness sizes are about 1/4 inch, much like a regular plastic switch plate.

Please note: White Oak Plain will not be available with the Screwless switch plates, as there is a Nationwide white oak plain problem at this time. Only Rift Cut White Oak and Quartersawn White Oak are now available for our Screwless Wall Plates.

We manufacture the USA Electrical Standard Decora or GF opening of 1-5/16" wide, by 2-5/8" High,

This new Leviton Renu rocker switch and receptacles below will not work for our wood switch plate covers, they are too large. Only the standard size opening with work.

This is the size of the USA Standard Decora opening size which we have been making for years.

Recently some companies have made much larger Decora Switches, Rockers, Dimmers, and Duplex Decora Receptacles.

They force you into buying and using their plastic switch plate covers.

We can not make the opening out of our custom wood switch plate covers to fit these larger sizes. If you are using some of these larger devices, please note this before we start to manufacture your wooden switch plate covers, as there are no returns on custom-made products like these products.

Screwless wood switch plate sizes

Single size is 5-3/4" tall by 3-1/2" wide

Double size is 5-3/4" tall by 5-3/4" wide

Triple size is 5-3/4" tall by 7-1/2" wide

Quad size is 5-3/4" tall by 9’’ wide

If you have a question about what you are ordering, just give us a call, as there are no returns on these custom screwless wallplates if you order incorrectly. If there is a problem with our manufacturing, we will remake them or correct the problem at no charge.

Custom screwless unfinished wood switch plates are now available in all configuration styles in single, double, triple, and quad sizes. Available in 95 wood types from around the world. Check these out, they are fantastic.

Please Note: All screwless wallplates are 1/2 inches wider, and 3/4 inches taller than our standard sizes in one-two-three and four gang plates. This is to accommodate the necessary backing structure needed for this type of installation.

All custom wood sizes are about 1/4 inch thick, much like a regular plastic switchplate.

We supply everything necessary to make them fit your electrical box in the wall. Both the fitting that mounts to the box and the fitting that is mounted to the wall plates, we supply everything!

There are no returns on the screwless wallplates as they are all custom-made to order. If there is a problem, we will correct the problem or make you new wallplates.

SCREWLESS SWITCH PLATES INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

WHEN YOU RECEIVE YOUR SCREWLESS WALLPLATES, THERE WILL BE A WHITE WALL HOUSING THAT IS IN TWO SECTIONS, MARKED FACE THE WALL, AND FACE OUT. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT, AS THESE WHITE WALL HOUSINGS NEED TO BE IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION FOR THESE TO BE SNAPPED TOGETHER WITH THE WHITE SECOND PART OF THE WALL HOUSING THAT IS ATTACHED TO THE BACKS OF THE WOOD WALL PLATES.

TO GET THE ELECTRICAL DEVICE AS FAR TO THE FRONT OF THE FACE SIDE OF THE WOOD SWITCH PLATE, IT IS IMPORTANT TO SLIDE THE WHITE HALF OF THE WALL HOUSING INTO THE BACK OF THE ELECTRICAL DEVICE. HERE IS HOW THIS IS DONE.

1. FIRST TURN OFF THE POWER TO THE ELECTRICAL DEVICE.

2. COMPLETELY REMOVE THE SCREW OR SCREWS THAT HOLD THE TOP PART OF THE ELECTRICAL DEVICE TO THE BOX IN THE WALL (THESE ARE USUALLY THE TOP SCREWS) AND SET THEM ASIDE.

3. NOW LOOSEN THE OTHER SCREW OR SCREWS, SLIDE THE WHITE WALL HOUSING TOP SECTION IN THE BACK OF THE AREA WHERE YOU TOOK OUT THE SCREW FROM THE ELECTRICAL DEVICE, AND PULL IT DOWN A BIT BEHIND THE ELECTRICAL DEVICE. NOW YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO SLIDE THE BOTTOM PART OF THE WHITE WALL HOUSING PAST THE ELECTRICAL DEVICE. NOW PUSH THE WHITE WALL HOUSING IN THE BACK OF THE ELECTRICAL DEVICE BY PUSHING IT UP, SO THE WHITE HOUSING IS NOW THE IN BACK OF THE ELECTRICAL DEVICE. THE WHITE WALL HOUSING MAY NEED TO SLIDE LEFT OR RIGHT A LITTLE, TO LINE IT UP WITH THE ELECTRICAL DEVICE. THIS IS HOW THE FINISHED PRODUCT SHOULD LOOK.

4. NOW THAT THE ELECTRICAL DEVICE IS IN FRONT OF THE WHITE WALL HOUSING, SCREW IN THE SCREW, OR SCREWS THAT WERE REMOVED IN STEP TWO, AND TIGHTEN THEM UP SO THE SCREW CAN NOW GO INTO THE ELECTRICAL DEVICE AND THROUGH THE WHITE WALL HOUSING, AND NOW INTO THE BOX IN THE WALL. THEN TIGHTEN ALL THE SCREWS. YOU ARE NOW READY TO SNAP ON THE WOOD SWITCH PLATE COVER TO THE HOUSING, WHICH IS NOW ATTACHED BEHIND THE ELECTRICAL DEVICE AND MOUNTED TO THE WALL.
